Vertical and Horizontal GBR Ridge Augmentation of a Severe Lower Anterior Bone Defect
By Prof Massimo Simion
This clinical video demonstrates an advanced surgical treatment performed by Prof. Simion. The goal of the procedure is to reconstruct a severely deficient lower anterior ridge using a vertical and horizontal guided bone regeneration technique with a titanium reinforced PTFE membrane. This video is very important as Prof Simion was one of the 3 founding clinicians to develop this surgical vertical grafting technique in the early 1990's. The video shows the detailed step-for-step of this procedure from incision to last suture placement. As a result of this advanced surgical technique clinicians are able to place implants in the optimal position and patients are able to receive a functional stable and esthetically pleasing smile.
